Ceramic artwork created by Jon Johnson & Kendra McCartney. Jon Johnson is a ceramic artist currently residing in Lubbock, Texas. He received his BFA in Studio Art, Ceramics from Texas Tech University (graduated December 2011). "I strive to find harmony between the loose, organic form and the bold, hard line within the pots I make."
Kendra McCartney is an artist and art educator currently residing in Lubbock, Texas. She is the 2016-2018 Artist in Residence at Charles Adams Studio Project and holds a BFA in Studio Art, Ceramics from Texas Tech University (graduated December 2011). She currently teaches art at All Saints Episcopal School to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. "By imprinting the beauty and structure of the environment into something as utilitarian as a set of cups, I create a pathway for the comfort, solidity, and organic elements of nature to become ingrained in a person’s daily rituals.
